My name is Emaani Thompson and I was born in The Bronx, New York August 12th, 1994. I've been a freelance model for three years. Prior to modelling, I've had an interest in acting and was coached in 2008 by actress Brooke Bundy (Nightmare on Elm Street) when I was 14 as well as Sheryl Baker Fisher who was the casting director at the time for the soap opera 'One Life to Live'. That experience had lead me to auditions from then on for Nickelodeon and a photoshoot with photographer Andrew Orth who had worked with Taylor Swift a few years prior before she was who she was in 2005. I am fairly new to the field of modelling, but I have the professionalism that I've gained in my past encounters and experiences to be able to carry that throughout my continuing career. I've worked with a wide array of photographers both experienced and inexperienced at first in order to build my portfolio, experience, and confidence. My first official acting job was for an app commercial starring 'Million Dollar Listing's Ryan Serhant (Author of 'Sell It Like Serhant'). My first official modeling job was for filmmaker Brandon Litman where I modeled clothing for their 'I Feel Like Hillz' line in the midst of the 2016 elections (a Merch that was featured in TeenVogue and more). My next collaboration would be with clothing brand @coolcreativeinc where Johanne Wilson is the chief creative director. They are a brand that was featured in Macy's in New York City for Black History Month in February 2018. I've modeled for them in March 2017 as an event model at celebrity event 'Icon Talks' where Brooklyn-native rapper Fabolous was an honoree. Earlier in 2018, I was contacted by international commercial photographer Aaron Klusmann (worked with Vogue Italia in art direction and shot model Gigi Hadid). I had shot an Adidas pilot with him, In addition, I had the pleasure of collaborating with makeup artist Samara Powder on the project (worked with Angela Yee (The Breakfast Club 105.1), Trevor Jackson (Superfly movie). I've become a published model as of December 2018 in Dynasty New York Magazine, which is a quarterly online publication based on art and fashion. Currently, I am a model at the International Center of Photography. As I continue my journey in my career I hope to make great business relationships and be successful in turn to bring those who I work with success. I look forward to working with you all.
